For very long or unusual routes, Elliot may confirm the travel fee manually – you’ll always know the price in advance.
❌ Cancellation Policy
- 24 hours’ notice required: please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
- Late cancellation fee: cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 50% of the lesson fee.
- If Elliot cancels: the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
Elliot Wardill Music Lesson Policy
Hello, and thank you for booking music lessons. I’m Elliot Wardill, a musician and educator based in Pudsey. I have been playing piano and singing for several years and currently work within the education sector. This policy outlines key terms to keep everything clear and smooth for families and students.
I bring all the necessary equipment (including a keyboard) to your home, so there is no need for you to travel. Lessons are designed to be fun, safe, and tailored to each student’s goals.
1. Safety and Safeguarding
I hold a valid DBS check for working with children. Parents and guardians are always welcome to sit in on lessons.
If a child is enrolled at Stanningley Primary School, any safeguarding concerns or disclosures made during lessons will be reported directly to the school in line with safeguarding procedures.
2. Lesson Fees and Payment
First lesson: £10 (introductory offer).
Standard lessons: 30 minutes – £15; 60 minutes – £30; 90 minutes – £50.
Travel fees are added on top of the lesson fee based on the distance from Pudsey. The calculator on this page provides a transparent estimate.
Payment can be made in cash at the lesson or via bank transfer in advance. Many families choose to pay in 4-week blocks.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move a lesson.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at 50% of the standard lesson fee.
If I need to cancel a lesson, I will always try to reschedule at the earliest convenient time, at no extra cost.
4. Lesson Structure and Approach
Lessons are tailored to age, experience level, and musical taste. We can work on chart songs, grades, performance skills, or simply playing for enjoyment. Sessions will typically include warm-ups, learning songs, developing technique, rhythm work, and building confidence.
5. Travel and Location
Lessons are based around the wider Leeds and Bradford area, with travel calculated from Pudsey (LS28). The travel fee is based on the estimated road distance returned by Google Maps:
- Under 5 miles: £0.00
- 5 – 10 miles: £5.00
- 10 – 15 miles: £10.00
- 15+ miles: £20.00 (Max Flat Rate)
For very long journeys or areas outside my usual route, I may confirm the fee manually before lessons are booked.
6. Availability
Standard evening availability is currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (6pm – 9pm). Saturday and Sunday may be available on request. Monday and Friday are generally unavailable for lessons.
7. Photo and Video Consent
Occasionally, I may ask to take short videos or photos for progress records or promotional use (such as my website or social media). This is always optional.
Only first names are used publicly, and I will never publish surnames, contact details, or specific locations. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by email, although media already posted may remain online.
